Frequently asked questions about an ecological garden

With a natural garden you contribute to the biodiversity of the Netherlands. In addition, a green environment reduces stress and stimulates your ability to concentrate. Plus: a natural garden requires less maintenance and costs less money, because many materials are reused.

  • What is the benefit of a natural garden?

In a natural garden, plants are more or less allowed to do their own thing. No neat hedges, bare soil around each plant or fixed shapes, but plants that grow through each other and support each other. Densely grown borders ensure that weeds have less chance. In short: less pruning and weeding and therefore more time for other things!

  • Doesn't a natural garden require a lot of maintenance?

Frequently asked questions about an ecological garden design

I calculate the exact costs for a complete garden design based on the size of your garden and your wishes. A complete garden design starts from €995,-

  • How much does a garden design cost?

Sketching usually takes about 2 to 3 weeks. After receiving your feedback, it will take another 2 to 3 weeks before you have the complete design at home. The total lead time also depends on how quickly we can schedule the sketch meeting and when I receive your feedback.

  • How quickly will I receive my garden design?

Want a neat garden consisting of patches of gravel and raised beds? Than you have come to the wrong place. Straight lines, on the other hand, can occur in a natural garden. Sometimes a straight path is the right way or a rectangular terrace feels better than a round one. The shape of a garden design does not stand in the way of a natural garden.

  • Do you also design sleek gardens?

The garden design is essentially a recommendation. Sometimes it can happen that you encounter something in the ground that prevents a pergola, swing or other element from being realised in the desired place. You are of course free to implement it differently than I have advised.

  • Can I make changes to the design after it is completed?

Absolutely! I encourage this. I always try to reuse as much existing planting or materials as possible in the new design. This is better for the environment and for your wallet!

  • Can I keep my existing plants in the new design?

With every garden design you will also receive a care calendar. This will state which garden tasks you need to do at what time to keep your plants happy. However, it is still possible that plants will not make it. This is natural and cannot be prevented. The care calendar therefore does not guarantee growth and flowering.

  • How do I ensure that the plants in my garden continue to bloom and grow as planned?

Frequently asked questions about a natural planting plan

I calculate the exact costs for a planting plan based on the size of your borders. A planting plan starts from €395,-

  • How much does a planting plan cost?

The moodboard usually takes about 5 working days. After receiving your feedback, it takes about 2 weeks before you receive the planting plan. The total lead time also depends on how quickly I receive your feedback.

  • How quickly will I receive my planting plan?

In short; no. I work with native plants in combination with well-established plants (plants that have been thriving in the Netherlands for years). Thanks to these plants, I create planting plans that make your garden attractive to look at all year round. Including in winter.

  • Do you design with only native plants?

Every planting plan is essentially advice. Sometimes it can happen that a plant is sold out at the grower. You are of course free to make other choices (together with the grower).

  • Can I make changes to the planting plan after it is completed?

Absolutely! I encourage this. I always try to reuse as much existing planting as possible in the new design. This is better for the environment and for your wallet!

  • Can I keep my existing plants in the new plan?

With each planting plan you will also receive a care calendar. This shows which garden tasks you need to do at what time to keep your plants happy. However, it is still possible that plants will not make it. This is natural and cannot be prevented. The care calendar therefore does not guarantee growth and flowering.
